More About Accountability
Most of us know what we should do.
Many of us don’t listen to our expectations of ourselves. Without getting too into the weeds this can lead us down a destructive path.
Don’t Tell Me What to Do
I know this because I am one of those types. We don’t like being told what to do, even sometimes when its ourselves telling us what to do.
So, what’s to do?
That’s where the Accountability Group comes in.
That’s where the invitation to join comes in.
That’s why the course suggests rather than tells us to start making an informed decision.
By abstaining for 10 days,20 days and so on, so that quitting alcohol becomes an informed decision, not a command!
No expectations.
If you do the 100-day course and go back to drinking in the words of a wise man, COME TO MIND.
Go out and buy your bottle and
“All your misery will be refunded.”
Information-consequences-choice.
The course is full of books we suggest you read/listen to for information.
Most of us know the consequences, but don’t need it rammed down our throats.
I don’t know who said it but this worked for me
“DID YOU THINK YOU WOULD NEVER REACH THE POINT TOWARD WHICH YOU WERE CONSTANTLY HEADING?”
“WHAT CAN I AND ONLY I DO, THAT IF DONE WELL WILL MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE?
EAT THAT FROG – Brian Tracy
The Group & Course is for people with an open mind about their relationship with alcohol and are seeking information that will talk about consequences to result in them making their informed choices.
It make no difference to me except that the place on the course could have been for someone who did want to quit.
However this is the journey I want to take you on.
This may sound a bit vomit worthy but it’s all information.
That worked for me.
Its YOUR CHOICE
I never thought I would reach this point.
I don’t think about drinking
I don’t use substitutes
I don’t mourn the death of alcohol
I am a master of my own mind and my own body
I create new self empowering habits every day”
