When I attempted a break from alcohol one of the reasons I found it impossible was because any help out there didn’t give me a sense of process that I could follow. A simple step by step way of dealing with something that was affecting every part of my life.
I read a few books and tried some classes, but nothing broke it down into manageable parts I felt I could handle.
So, I created the 7 step process to sobriety as a way of dealing with one part at a time instead of the hot mess of trying “giving up”
So, the first thing is to treat it in your mind as a break of say 30 days.
You can reduce it further to 7 days and reduce that to 1 day.
You can say to yourself that after the 1st day to continue for 1 more day.
Then go for 7 days/a week.
You can take 1 step at a time from the 7 steps.
We go into this process in greater detail in the course.
The main aim is to avoid what I suffered from and that is OVERWHELM,
which usually ends with reverting to your old ways because it is just too hard.
Have a look at the infographic in the FREE RESOURCES LIBRARY. Download it and print it out and stick it somewhere that you can refer to it frequently and it will help you see that there is a procedure to follow,
one step at a time.
This will help you make a good start.
