But Isn’t Alcohol My Friend?

I don’t think so.

Cool, sophisticated, with it? Not really!

From a very early age we are persuaded that without booze we will not have any fun. Drinking is a way of hiding from reality.

We think of it as fun giver, consolation giver, comfort giver, our close friend.

When we celebrate, we drink

When we are sad, we drink

When we relax, we drink

When we party, we drink, a lot!.

Ever wondered how the same substance in a bottle can do sooo many things?

The fact is we are brainwashed from a very young age to believe that we cannot do any of these things without alcohol.

The hardest thing about stopping drinking for me was “how can I enjoy/get through any of these moments without a drink!”

Once you get it and understand that you don’t need alcohol in that way its so much easier to let it go.
